The Christian refugees Lee Joo-Chan recalled how his parents went out to retrieve his Bible. “Every night they went out into the garden and dug up a jar. They took out a black book and read it. Not so loud, they whispered. They said that we never had to tell something about the book to other people. I knew they not fooled us, and that we would all be killed if people found out about this forbidden book. Sometimes my mother would say that God lives and that we must obey him. But she never mentioned Jesus. she could not. It would have been too dangerous. ”

Not so long ago received the Open Doors, a 80-year-old Bible for the help we had given to a North Korean Christian family. It was printed in Seoul in 1930 and had then been passed on from one generation to the next. After Kim Il-Sung came to power in 1945 the Bible had to be hidden. At a moment in time the family was taken for an unknown reason and sent to a labor camp. They spent several years under horrific conditions, whereas the Bible remained in hiding. After the family was finally released, the Open Doors in a position to help them get back on its feet through our contacts.

“They were so grateful that they gave us the Bible’s,” says brother Simon, Open Doors’ main contact for the persecuted Christians in North Korea. “Of course we assured them so that they got a new Bible.”

One day, Bibles, hymn books and other Christian materials such as Open Doors has received in recent years, will be brought back to North Korea. Simon says:

“Then we can show the North Korean people the endless and indestructible power of the Word of God.”

***

BHO ‘He’ mocks the Bible, Jesus Christ and Christianity”

He is where he is in part because Oprah had him on her show to ‘promote’ his book then ‘suggested’ that he ‘run for president’… because he was ‘the one’. ‘Her show’ that panders to, mocks, insults, talks down to and exploits America, Christianity, whites and everything American for her profit.

Obama and Oprah attended Rev.Wright’s church of ‘hate’ America (Wright matches up gays) and ‘hate the white race’, for years. Oprah ‘promotes’ that there are ‘many ways’ to Heaven (as if this woman knows, or is an authority on anything. Ha!) She holds herself out as a ‘new age guru’. She ‘promoted’ homosexuality on her show and had every ‘freak circumstance’ that exists to bring her audience and revenue to promote ‘her agenda’. She appeals to the lowest denominator and the common. She coined the phrase referring to ‘Obama as the one’. Ha! The one what? The most evil one that America has ever seen…the one to deceive…the great deceiver. Oprah helped create Obama’s media image and the NWO uses her for her influence on the common, easily brainwashed and led masses.

Obama tries to use and justify his misguided policy, by quoting Jesus in Luke 12:48: “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked.”

You do not have to have a seminary degree to know and anyone who reads the Bible knows that Jesus is talking about individual stewardship in an individual’s relationship with God.

For it is God who gives each person different portions of gifts, talents, and treasure to manage according to His sovereign will. It is God who entrusts people with what they have, not the government. We are each born with our genetics, our personality, our intellect, our talents, our gifts, our lack and into our individual circumstances.

God is the One who will judge the faithfulness of each individual’s stewardship and blessing, or lack thereof. (not Obama/Oprah, or the government) In Luke 12:48, Jesus, God the Son, is exhorting individuals to be faithful and give generously without regret.

One has to wonder if Obama has replaced God with his administration… ‘the government’. He must believe that when he says, “much is given,” he refers to what is given by the government; and “much is demanded,” as that which is ‘demanded’ by the government. This is 180 degrees opposite to the truth.

We have had egotistical presidents before, from both political spectrums, but never have we had one who saw himself as replacing God, or one who views his administration as acting on God’s behalf, or instead of God.

Misquoting the Scripture is a practice by some politicians to advance their cause. But this abuse of the Scripture and viewing one’s administration as the judge and executioner — not for crimes, but for personal stewardship — has reached a new level of egotism.

Sharia Law is a political ideology with goals to take over America and the world. They ‘sanction lying’, taqiyya, to achieve their goals. They use tactics to infiltrate, propagandize, ‘elect Muslims to office’, and convert Americans to Islam, in order to establish Sharia law as the law of the land, and make the country an Islamic nation, ruled by a Sharia-compliant caliph.

Muslims think that they are superior to all others… and clearly Obama thinks he is ‘superior’ to all others…

When Obama reads from and quotes the Bible it rings so false that it reeks of evil. Nothing about Obama is honest, true, or of the good… he is only about his agenda and he will do anything to achieve it. The Obama Regime indebts and sucks money from the American people and launders it to his causes and friends. It is Mafia-like nothing about it is Christ-like… Obama’s Regime is anti-Christ…

But Obama is doing, saying and will do whatever he needs to and can, to get four more years to further his agenda of the destruction of America. Should he succeed… God only knows what evil he and his backers will unleash. He, his backers and supporters are an example of total corruption and evil…

Obama is without boundaries, respect, conscience and is full of conceit, lies, arrogance and usury. It seems the man will stop at nothing to try and win a second term. He wrote in his book that he ‘promoted’ on Oprah’s show, should the winds shift that he will stand with the Muslims…and now, he quotes the Bible to further his evil agenda…It’s laughable were it not so sick, twisted, corrupt and evil.

He also stated in his 1st book,”My father’s dreams, are my dreams”. And his father was quoted as saying,”American people could be taxed 100% of their income and it would be legal. They then can receive all they need from the Government”…”

Obama stated that we ‘are not a Christian nation’ and now uses, ‘miss-uses’ the Bible as a tool to ‘campaign’ his agenda which is to ultimately exploit and enslave America.

The Obama Regime is clearly anti-Christ and pro-Muslim. The duplicity and agenda of the Obama Regime is pure evil… Obama and Oprah have mocked America for their gain and agenda long enough. Deception, corruption, lies and evil are what they promote and stand for…It’s all Leviathan spin! These people are socialists, Marxists, communists and worse and are against everything America is and stands for… Enough of them, their corruption and lies!!!

There is only two states of existence and available knowledge:

1) The world ” flesh” system of the five senses is our original state of existence. But this is limited by both time and space! Each and every human begins in this earthly existence…

When you live in the flesh world you live in sin originated existence; because people have their eyes upon themselves, not not God! The more you are in the flesh the more you will sin {trespass or separate yourself} from God! Which is where most of the people in the world exist today!

2) The Spirit existence; which is Eternal as Truth, Love and Peace all found in the Holy Spirit of God.

But when you either preach or have the Full Blown Grace of God; then you will help people {especially Christians} to walk by the spirit! Because when people come to accept Christ and walk in the spirit; they will discover all that is available to them through the spirit! Then you will not have to try to manipulate them with Blessing and or curses to get them to serve God – Plus once they come to recognize the truth in their life; you will not be able to stop them from serving God in their life! Because once the learn and accept the Grace through Faith; it will be written in their soul; it is that simple!

***
We need to get people’s eyes off themselves and onto Christ by the ministering the Holy Spirit to them and not enforcing the letter of the {as 10 commandments} law!

This is life changing process… We all started out living in the flesh, but hopefully sooner than later, you should see the limit and consider the alternative… The problem has been that most churches & religions have brought many rules or regulations into contemporary teachings… Then many pastors try to whip their members into shape by holding laws {like the 10 Commandments} over their heads… (which is not the full gospel)!

This is where most of the Christian Church has preached a limited gospel and is not preparing us {the people} with the complete truth!

This is part of who and what we are… It is this “Desire” that make us seek and want things… God placed it there so what we would tend or want to seek Him… Yet the world or the Devil has used it since Adam & Eve to temp or divert us with various and sundry things which takes our attention off God! Many of these things are not necessarily bad, but they do tend to engross and totally occupied our lives with other things!! This is part of who and what we are… It is this “Desire” that make us seek and want things… God placed it there so what we would tend or want to seek Him…

Yet the world or the Devil has used it since Adam & Eve to temp or divert us with various and sundry things which takes our attention off God! Many of these things are not necessarily bad, but they do tend to engross and totally occupied our lives with other things!!

This is the message that I felt I had to post today, so may you stop and think of the needs and wants in your life and where it has gotten you? This a wake up call or an evaluation that you need to decide: where will you spend Eternity?

Because if you do not come to realize what and who you are in this creation, then all is lost! While this world requires much of our time it does not or should not make you a zombie to the world system… You have been given a God created intelligence plus the ability to communicate with the Lord Jesus then seek the Face of God!

BTW: The orig. word for prayer means to ” know” or ” touch the face ” as it were to become very personal… Have you stopped to seek the face of God lately?

This article is meant to be a help and guidance for you!

If you can come to understand the Eternal importance of seeking then accepting the ” Grace of God ” which comes from the word of God as found to in the Holy Bible! Then you will be able to move forward in your quest or progression into the Kingdom of heaven!

Prayer is a two-way communication, if you are willing to stop and listen to the “still small voice of God” in you pursuit of His purpose for your eternal development!

This as with all things in life requires effort and belief to succeed or carry out it!

Last week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released its estimated causes of death for 2010. The 10 leading causes of death in the U.S. accounted for 75% of the nearly 2.5 million deaths in 2010. Overall costs for the top 10 causes of death topped $1.1 trillion in 2007, the last fully reported year for all causes. 24/7 Wall St. reviewed the causes to determine how much they cost and to reflect how efficiently they are being treated.

The overall cost for the top 10 causes of death, which includes direct medical care and the indirect loss of productivity, is far greater when the lost wages of family members are taken into account. Since 2000, the overall cost of the top 10 causes of death has increased by an estimated 35%. During this same time, the death rate from these diseases and injuries has decreased by 13.5%.

In some of the areas, spending to treat the disease has been very efficient. For example, the costs attributable to heart disease and stroke (two closely related diseases) have declined both due to decreasing deaths and improvements in the efficiency of care.

In other areas, however, costs have gone up disproportionately compared to the decreases in death rate. For example, while the cost to treat diabetes has risen by 30%, the death rate dropped by only 11%. Of course, when taking lives saved into account, it is tough to decide how much is too much to spend.

Finally, some areas continue to increase in both cost and rate of death. Alzheimer’s disease deaths have increased by more than 50% over the past decade, and total costs have more than doubled. This is likely a function of an aging population and very limited success in treatment.

24/7 Wall St. reviewed the 10 leading causes of death to determine how much they cost and how effectively they’re being treated. We used yearly estimates from the CDC to examine changes in death rates between 2000 and 2010. We also examined data from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), CDC and several national health organizations focused on individual diseases to determine the direct costs for medical care and procedures and the indirect cost of death and lost productivity, as well as to reflect how the leading causes of death individually affect the U.S. economy. The costs for each cause of death are based on the last fully reported year for all causes, 2007. More recent estimates on costs were also referenced when available.

These are the 10 leading causes of death and what they cost the American economy.

10. Suicide
> No. of deaths: 37,793
> Change since 2000: 15% increase in death rate
> Total cost: $36 billion

The age-adjusted suicide rate in America has been steadily increasing over the past decade, and the costs associated with successful and unsuccessful suicide attempts continue to rise. In successful suicide attempts, more than 99.6% of the costs are due to lost wages and work productivity. In 2010, the most recent available estimate, successful suicides cost the economy approximately $34 billion. The overall cost is even higher when all intentionally inflicted self-harm is included. In 2010, there were more than 450,000 injuries in this category, which cost the economy an additional $3 billion in direct medical care costs and $5.1 billion in indirect costs due to lost wages and productivity. The rate of self-inflicted injuries increased by 36% since 2000, a greater increase than suicide itself.

9. Pneumonia and the Flu
> No. of deaths: 50,003
> Change since 2000: 32% decrease in death rate
> Total cost: $40 billion

Despite widespread use of vaccinations, influenza continues to be a major cause of death in the United States. While the death rate due to both pneumonia and flu has fallen by 32% over the past decade, the impact of the flu itself varies widely from year to year. In 2000, flu directly accounted for 1,765 of the 65,313 deaths in the category, compared to 494 of 50,003 in 2010. Much of this variation is due to the differing severity of the flu strains each year, as well as the success of the yearly flu vaccine. Until a better flu vaccine is invented, this wide variation is likely to continue. Pneumonia and the flu cost $6 billion in direct medical care and another $34.2 billion in projected lost earnings in 2007, according to the American Lung Association. This represented an increase of nearly 50% from 2003, the previously reported year.

8. Renal Disease
> No. of deaths: 50,472
> Change since 2000: 21% increase in death rate
> Total cost: $61 billion

Not only do kidney diseases cause an increasing number of deaths every year, their total cost has also been rising at an even faster pace. Dialysis, the process of filtering the blood of a patient with failing kidneys, is an enormously expensive medical procedure. In 2007, direct medical treatments cost the U.S. economy $54 billion. Between 2000 and 2009, the direct costs of kidney diseases doubled in the Medicare budget, from $12 billion to $24 billion, according to the U.S. Renal Data System. As diabetes and obesity rates continue to rise, the costs of damaged kidneys will continue to skyrocket.

7. Diabetes Mellitus
> No. of deaths: 68,905
> Change since 2000: 11% decrease in death rate
> Total cost: $112 billion

Deaths attributable to diabetes have been falling because of increased awareness and treatment of the disease complications. But even as deaths from the disease decline, more and more Americans are diagnosed and the costs of the disease continue to rise. In 2002, the American Diabetes Association (ADA) estimated that the 12.1 million Americans diagnosed with the disease cost twice as much per person in direct medical expenses compared to otherwise similar people without diabetes. That same year, they estimated $92 billion in direct costs and an additional $40 billion in losses to the U.S. economy. By 2007, there were 17.5 million Americans diagnosed with diabetes. That year, according to the ADA, costs jumped to $116 billion in direct costs and $58 billion in lost wages and productivity, for an inflation-adjusted increase of $21 billion over five years. According to the World Diabetes Foundation, 80% of type 2 diabetes, which represents roughly 90% of all cases, is preventable by changing eating habits, increasing physical activity, and improving living situations. Unless people start living a healthier lifestyle, this disease will continue to be a major drain on the U.S. economy.

6. Alzheimer’s Disease
> No. of deaths: 83,308
> Change since 2000: 50% increase in death rate
> Total cost: $70 billion

As of 2011, an estimated 5.4 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease. This number is projected to hit 13.2 million by 2050, according to the Alzheimer’s Association. Alzheimer’s is a very expensive disease with high direct medical costs, as well as lost productivity from patients and unpaid care given by the family and friends. This last category is not counted in government reports as part of the disease’s cost, but was estimated at more than $200 billion in 2010 for over 17 billion hours of unpaid care. As of 2004, total medical costs for Medicare beneficiaries with Alzheimer’s disease were three times the cost of similarly aged people without the disease. From 2005 to 2011, the total direct costs of Alzheimer’s disease increased from $91 billion to $183 billion, according to the Alzheimer’s Association. By 2050, this is projected to increase to $1.1 trillion (in 2011 dollars).

5. Accidents
> No. of deaths: 118,043
> Change since 2000: 7.6% increase in death rate
> Total cost: $308 billion

The rate of accidental injury and death has remained fairly constant over the past decade. It has also remained incredibly expensive. Accidental deaths alone accounted for $91 billion in lost earnings and productivity in 2010. The direct medical costs of all accidental injuries, fatal and nonfatal, accounted for $78 billion. Additional costs due to death, disability and lost productivity accounted for another $233 billion. Despite rather stable costs, accidental death, injury and poisoning account for a greater share of medical spending and indirect losses than all other diseases on the list.

4. Strokes
> No. of deaths: 129,180
> Change since 2000: 31% decrease in death rate
> Total cost: $34 billion

While the total costs of all cardiovascular disease have declined slightly over the past decade, costs attributable to stroke have decreased an impressive inflation-adjusted 46%, according to data from the American Heart Association. Direct and indirect costs have both dropped significantly. These declines have been linked to increased awareness and treatment of major risk factors, including high blood pressure, diabetes and smoking, as well as to improvements in acute stroke care, which appears to decrease both death and long-term disability from stroke. Despite these improvements, stroke remains the leading cause of serious long-term disability in the United States.

3. Chronic Lung Disease (Chronic Lower Respiratory Diseases)
> No. of deaths: 137,789
> Change since 2000: <1% increase in death rate
> Total cost: $65 billion

Chronic lung disease is the third leading cause of death in the U.S., but unlike the top two causes of death, heart disease and cancer, it is not seeing any significant improvement in the death rate. The main contributors to this category of disease are asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). As of 2008, there were 23.3 million Americans with asthma, which cost approximately $14.7 billion in direct health care and $5 billion in lost productivity, according to the American Lung Association. Prescription drugs constituted $6.2 billion alone. Another 12.1 million adults have COPD. COPD cost the U.S. economy $42.6 billion in 2007, including $26.7 billion in direct health care expenditures, $8 billion in decreased productivity and $7.9 billion in costs related to death. Smoking remains the number one cause of COPD.

2. Cancer
> No. of deaths: 573,855
> Change since 2000: 7.5% decrease in death rate
> Total cost: $227 billion

In the next five years, cancer is likely to become the number one killer of Americans, if current trends continue. Despite major advances in treatments and increases in the number of people who survive for five years or more, few true “cures” have been found. Real progress is being made, but there is still a long way to go. Direct costs of medical treatments will continue to rise, more than offsetting any gains due to decreased mortality rates. In 2004, direct medical costs to the U.S. economy were $69.4 billion. By 2007, costs were $104 billion, and by 2020, they are projected to range between $160 billion to $200 billion, according to the American Cancer Society. The vast majority of these increases in cost are driven by new medical treatments, usually highly tailored and difficult-to-manufacture drugs that cost $5,000/month on average. One such drug, Gleevec, increased five-year survival rates to 95% (from 70%) for one blood cancer and has been used to varying degrees of success in a different cancers since.

1. Heart Disease
> No. of deaths: 595,444
> Change since 2000: 25% decrease in death rate
> Total cost: $190 billion

Heart disease remains the number one killer of Americans. But deaths due to the disease have been declining at a rapid rate over the past several decades, despite the ever-increasing issues of obesity and diabetes in America. The indirect costs of heart disease due to death have declined from an inflation-adjusted $114 billion in 2000 to $94.8 billion in 2008. Over the same time period, direct costs of medical interventions and care have decreased from an inflation adjusted $129 billion to $96 billion. These declining costs are likely due to major improvements in care. For example, in 2001, only 43% of heart disease patients were counseled on smoking cessation compared to 99% in 2010, according to the American Heart Association. Similarly, only 60% to 85% of patients were discharged from the hospital on all recommended medications in 2001, compared to 92% to 99% in 2010. Additionally, there was a decrease in the number of bypass surgeries, stent placements, angioplasties and diagnostic cardiac catheterizations between 2002 and 2009, likely contributing to the decrease in direct medical costs. Despite the recent trends, total costs are likely to rise over the next couple decades due to an aging population and increased rates of obesity and diabetes.

NEW YORK — Outside the United Nations headquarters, hundreds of people were shouting and waving banners Tuesday that read “China and Russia – No Veto.” These people wanted support from the Security Council of the U.N. to oust the President of Syria, Bashar al-Assad.

Inside the U.N., another group of civil society leaders demanded a basic level of social security as they promoted a “social protection floor” at a preparatory forum for the Commission on Social Development, which began Feb. 1.

The focus of the forum was “universal access to basic social protection and social services.”

“No one should live below a certain income level,” stated Milos Koterec, President of the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations. “Everyone should be able to access at least basic health services, primary education, housing, water, sanitation and other essential services.”

These services were presented at the forum as basic human rights equal to the rights of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

The money to fund these services may come from a new world tax.

“We will need a modest but long-term way to finance this transformation,” stated Jens Wandel, Deputy Director of the United Nations Development Program. “One idea which we could consider is a minimal financial transaction tax (of .005 percent). This will create $40 billion in revenue.”

“It is absolutely essential to establish controls on capital movements and financial speculation,” said Ambassador Jorge Valero, the current Chairman of the Commission on Social Development. He called for “progressive policies of taxation” that would require “those who earn more to pay more taxes.”

Valero’s speech to the forum focused on capitalism as the source of the world financial problems.

When asked where she expected the money to provide all needy people with a basic income, healthcare, education and housing would come from, Fatima Rodrigo, one of the presenters at the forum, mentioned the “very small tax of .005 percent.”

She added, “There is plenty of money, we just need to stop spending it on militaries and wars.”

“Military spending is the problem,” claimed Winifred Doherty, chairman of the NGO Committee on Social Development and organizer for the CSD Forum.

“There is no scarcity of resources. Where do we put our resources? Destroying people and the planet,” said Doherty.

This movement for a social protection floor is becoming solidly entrenched in the United Nations’ agencies and programs. Some U.N. leaders are calling for the SPF to become the new focus for the U.N., when the Millennium Development Goals are finished — after 2015.

“Despite the global exhortations of the United Nations, the most successful development efforts clearly arise from grass-roots initiatives, often at the individual or family level,” claims Vincenzina Santoro, an international economist, in a new book on the family and the Millennium Development Goals.

A report by the secretary-general on poverty eradication includes other methods for helping rural farmers increase their profit margin and their ability to be more self-reliant. The report says, “key among these is improving yields by ensuring that farmers have better access to high-yielding crop varieties, fertilizers, credit, markets and rural infrastructure.”

Despite the seemingly endless stream of news stories focusing on violence, crime and death that are splashed across the world’s front pages, humans are now living in one of the most peaceful periods of our existence. That’s according to a new book by Steven Pinker, a Harvard Psychology professor and one of the “World’s Top 100 Public Intellectuals” according to Time magazine. The Better Angels of Our Nature: Why Violence Has Declined, published in 2011, discusses the various transitions in human history that led to more peaceful societies. One of the most influential transitions was the move from hunter-gatherer societies to organized states – a process Pinker refers to as “the pacification process”.

That transition led to a major decrease in violence because the state stepped in during conflicts as the arbiter of “justice” as opposed to the tribal process of retaliatory attacks and revenge murders, he argues.

“The civlising process”, describes the decline of violence in Europe throughout the Middle Ages. As Pinker puts it, “a contemporary Englishman has a 50-fold less chance of being murdered than his compatriot in the Middle Ages”.

Critics of Pinker’s historical argument say he focuses too much on Western Europe, while generally ignoring trends of violence in Asia, Africa or South America, allowing the psychologist to “gloss over” other episodes that don’t fit into his narrative.

To that, Pinker would most likely answer that the downward trend in violence has not necessarily been smooth, but nonetheles it has “gone bumpily, but dramatically, down”.

Were things really so much worse 5,000 years ago?

Before the spread of settled agricultural civilisations and governments, starting around 5,000 years ago, feuding was a recurring feature of people’s lives, and they had to worry about raids in which an enemy village or tribe would shoot the men with arrows or spears and abduct the women as wives.

Many sources of evidence testify to the violence of non-state life, including forensic analyses of violent trauma on skeletons, the prevalence of fortifications and shock weapons and contemporary estimates of rates of violence among the last surviving peoples living in anarchy – namely hunter-gatherer and hunter-horticultural bands and tribes.

What did the transition from tribal life to kingdoms, empires and now states have to do with the decline in violence?

The first kings and emperors did not have a benevolent interest in the welfare of their subjects. Instead, tribal raiding and feuding were a nuisance to imperial overlords – who would just as soon keep the people alive to provide them with soldiers, taxes and slaves.

How do you explain the genocides and mass murders of the 20th century within the context of a decline in violence? What indications do we have that another Hitler, Stalin, Mao won’t find a similar way to slaughter millions?

There were plenty of genocides and mass murders in other centuries as well, and as a proportion of the population, they did comparable damage. World War II was certainly the worst event in human history, but it was not part of a trend of increasingly destructive wars – on the contrary, the rate of death in warfare has gone bumpily, but dramatically, down since 1946.

As for genocidal maniacs, there is no guarantee that another one won’t arise, but it’s far harder for a Mao or a Stalin to commit genocides within a democracy, and the world has far more democracies now – indeed, more than it has autocracies.

“Ideologies, particularly ones that demonise some group of people as the only thing standing in the way of utopia are the causes of the most murderous events in human history.“

How do the numbers of people killed from so-called terrorism compare with those killed from homicide, war or genocide?

There’s no comparison. 9/11 was the worst terrorist attack in history, and it killed fewer than 3,000 people, which is a fraction of those killed in most wars, genocides or homicides.

Other than the prospect of nuclear terrorism, terrorism seeks to work by the fear it causes – the “terror” in terrorism – rather than by the damage it does. In any case, terrorism is a provably stupid tactic – 97 per cent of terrorist movements fail to attain any of their strategic objectives.

Israel has taken Ahmadinejad’s apparent wish to “wipe Israel off the map” as an existential threat, and in return has threatened war. Do you see any likelihood of Iran using nuclear weapons, if it were to acquire them, against Israel?

I think it is extremely unlikely that [President Mahmoud] Ahmadinejad will attack Israel with nuclear weapons. On the other hand, the Israelis are not crazy to worry about a low-probability yet catastrophic possibility, and Ahmadinejad’s destructive fantasy, together with his other reckless statements (such as denying the Holocaust), are cause for legitimate worry. Calling for the destruction of a member state of the United Nations is extraordinarily provocative – no member state of the UN has ever gone out of existence through the use of force.

What is the connection between ideology and mass atrocities?

Ideologies, particularly ones that demonise some group of people as the only thing standing in the way of utopia (heretics, infidels, the bourgeoisie, Jews, Tutsis, rich peasants) are the causes of the most murderous events in human history.

Such belief systems justify violence by a toxic means – ends analysis: If a Messianic Age will be infinitely good, then any amount of violence may be perpetrated to attain it, and those who oppose it are infinitely evil and deserving of arbitrarily harsh punishment.

What is the relation between what you consider a general decline in violence and the increased attention and protection of children, ethnic minorities, women, and homosexuals in some societies?

The rights revolutions that have protected these vulnerable groups against lynching, rape, domestic violence, gay-bashing, physical and sexual abuse, harsh physical punishments and cruel practices have been driven, by the same repugnance to violence, driven by the same humanitarian concerns.

In terms of psychology, is there an innate drive towards violence and aggression within us? Or conversely, an innate drive to be “good”?

Neither and both. Humans harbour a number of distinct motives that can result in violence: including greed, vengeance, dominance, sadism and destructive ideologies. They also harbour a number of distinct motives that can inhibit violence – what [US president Abraham] Lincoln called “the better angels of our nature”: including self-control, empathy, reason and a sense of fairness.

The amount of violence in a society depends on which of these motives prevail.

What does international trade/commerce have to do with the decline of violence?

In general, societies that engage in trade and are open to the world’s economy have lower rates of interstate war, civil war and genocide. This is consistent with the Enlightenment theory of “gentle commerce” and the evolutionary theory of “reciprocal altruism” – it’s better for both sides if one tries to get ahead by trading things rather than by stealing them.

How would our collective psychology be affected if we knew that we are living in a relatively peaceful era of human history?

We could try to identify the causes that brought violence down – including commerce, democracy, cosmopolitanism, education, good government, sound institutions and freedom of speech – and try to implement them widely and robustly.

Sexuality is precious. It is a gift. It is part of the essence of an individual. It is a magnificent connection. But today, by many, it is being taken down to the level of a hand shake, or a blow job. Immorality, regarding sexuality, is promoted almost everywhere.

If some woman will spread her legs, some man will stick it in. Not to be gross, but anyone doing this, in this casual manner, is gross. The women who are like this, as well, as the men, are lowly and disgusting and they are diminishing themselves along with society…

You can’t separate yourself, your body, mind, heart and spirit, from the sexual act… as you exchange bodily fluids and energy with another. If you think that you can, you are dead inside, or so cut off from yourself that you are a walking needy zombie, or possibly addicted.

Some think that when you exchange sexual energy with another that it makes an imprint on you that you carry in your energy…and this may very well be true.

Playboys, playgirls, those never married, or committed, but who have sex one after another, are nothing, but lost, promiscuous, searching and many are down and out immoral. Most have little to no connection to body, mind, heart, and spirit… They are only looking to ‘escape’ and to feel some ‘momentary’ pleasure that takes them out of their loneliness, torment, or lack in self. And if anything feels too real, in that, it’s time to commit, be responsible, or in tune with who they really are, being that, they ‘grow’, they are off to their next prey and escape. Their denial and escape of emotional growth pushes them along their sexually demented path.

If a person does this too often, they may very well lose all capability to love, if they even had it in the first place. They don’t love, or respect themselves as reflected in their behavior, so of course, don’t have the ability to love, respect and commit to another.

We are rearing a large part of society in this manner today and it is going to destroy our country. The family unit, the commitment, the responsibility are the foundation of a strong, healthy, moral and prosperous society.

Good and responsible men are often propelled to higher level of success as they are compelled to care and provide for their wife and children….

Dictators, socialists, communists, marxists, know that to destroy the morality of a society will break it down. Tear down the family unit and people will be more easily led and controlled. Selfish, single, non-attached people usually care little about the needs of others. They just wanna screw and screw themselves and others they do…

Marriage is being promoted and diminished as to be too bothersome to do. Children are born out of wedlock and it is accepted as the norm. ”Baby Daddy” is replacing “Father”… and this I find disgusting…

How did we sink so low and why?

It’s better that a child be brought into this world with a married Mother and Father. This gives the child the basis for strength and security, a unit, an identity to grow and to learn from. Now sure, not all parents are ‘great’… but, at least, a child born into a marriage has a foundation, a sense of security and belonging.

These kids with a ‘Baby Daddy’ and a Mother who have had several children by other ‘Baby Daddies’… well, what is this BS? How lost and convoluted will these children become? We can see the effects of this casual, ill-responsible lifestyle in society, daily.

I am having men complain that women are promiscuous and it is turning them off. Then I have women complain that all men are interested in is sex and that men email and text them photos of their penises… Now how insecure, needy and gross can some men get?

Rape can be also telling a woman you love her just to have sex with her… it’s not by physical force alone and behind lying, manipulative words can be the same aggression and violence against women.

We are having a major male/female/sexual disconnect… I say be true to yourself, your morality and your body, mind, heart, spirit connection…or you will be lost. Listen to your connection to yourself, not society, others and certainly not the media and entertainment field… they have a stake and benefit in your corruption.

Some people show no respect for the sexual act, or what comes from it … So how will these children grow up to be secure and responsible to self and others when no one was, or is responsible to, or for them? Most will be worse off than their parents with little direction and few, if any morals… a burden on society… a burden to themselves… lost searching and easily led astray.

The break down of society can be based on the break down of the importance placed on the sexual act…whether it be held in value, or no different than relieving yourself. The respect that women are held in and the respect that women show and give to themselves is a reflection of the quality of a society.

The sex act is an act of creation and an expression of love and caring between two people. It’s isn’t just an orgasm, getting off, seduction, or notches on a belt.
Sure, it’s muscles and nerves being stimulated… but without the intellect, the emotional connection, it is nothing, but mutual masturbation.

You will find that the more exclusive and selective people are regarding sexual partners, the more sensual and sexual they are. Because they know and understand what ‘really great sex’ is, so they ‘value’ it…they have and understand the body, mind, heart, spiritual connection… Where a promiscuous person just screws…an ordinary, banal, common and empty act…

An emotionally healthy woman becomes attached to man when she has sex. Her hormones create this attachment. So, she should be VERY CAREFUL whom she has sex with. And men who toy and exploit these emotions with ill-intent are the lowest of the low.

Men who go around sticking their neediness in women are nothing, but NEEDY.
Not a man, but a lost little animal, who can’t connect past his penis. He has no respect for himself, or the women. Women who allow themselves to be used in this manner are ignorant fools who are betraying the very nature of their being.

We are creating an immoral society that values little. Sexuality is a person’s motor and someone who abuses their self, and others have little, if nothing to offer.

There are ‘basic rules’ that work to create a healthy society and a responsible, respectful sexuality is its basis…

I am certainly no prude as I have lived long enough to have made mistakes and to know what I share here is the truth of my living wisdom.

I have made the mistake of sex with someone I cared little for and it made me feel sick inside. I have had the deep connection with a man I loved dearly and never felt more fulfilled, or cared for. I have had a ‘Hollywood star’, playboy type come onto me and and turned him down flat with no regret…

With experience, living, and age comes wisdom… and that wisdom leads us back to the basic truths that love and sex go together… Marriage first – children after marriage…playboys are lost boys and nothing is glamorous about them.

As a society, we can strive to lift ourselves up to morality, love, commitment, respect, sexual exclusivity, or we can let Hollywood, the media, the rock and rappers, ‘popular’ opinion, etc. tear us down to promiscuity, perversions, anything goes, into a totally demented hell.

  Immorality is just that…Immoral…

Many, many years ago, before I even actually knew what a Muslim was, or even thought about it (remember the good old days?)…

My husband and I were at a business dinner to entertain two Saudi Princes. My father was the owner of a construction and oil related company and in a joint venture.

There were eight other people besides myself and my husband then the Saudi Princes… One Prince, the older brother, sat at the end of the table, I sat to his left, with my husband to the left of me. The President of the company doing the joint venture was at the other end of the table and the younger Prince sat across the table.

This was an oxford-cloth-traditional group, except, for the Saudi Princes who wore multiple chains of gold around their necks, flashy bracelets and watches on their wrists, many rings on their fingers, silk shirts and shiny, slick suits…and, of course, with their dark skin and they both had mustaches, or some sort of facial hair… in other words, they looked like pimps…

It was the usual business dinner with a bit of personal conversation. It was obvious the Princes had no interest in talking with the wives.

But for some reason, the Prince sitting next to me, took an interest in me and asked what I like to do. I told him that I like to dance. His eyebrows raised. “I dance ballet.” From his reaction, I don’t think that he knew what ballet was, as I go on, ”I am a ballet teacher. Ballet? France? The Bolshoi?”

He nodded acknowledgment then flashed a look at my husband and exclaimed. “You allow her to work!?”

“I like to work. Why wouldn’t I work?”

“A woman such as yourself should not work.”

“I like to teach and I have danced all my life.” I answer as I thought, what a jerk, ‘allow me’. Is he kidding or what?

I don’t recall the rest of the evening’s conversation, except, that the Prince took a liking to me. Maybe, it was my dark hair and olive skin…and my speaking up and challenging him at every turn.

These gold encrusted Princes were on a tour of America and to do some business and when they returned to Saudi Arabia, they were both to be married. I found them to be boastful and arrogant, but the one sitting next to me, not entirely unpleasant. I found him interesting to observe.

At the end of the dinner, the President, at the other end of the table, was given the check and paid it. When the Prince next to me realized this, he stood up in an explosion, practically lifting up the table, shouting angrily, I guess in Arabic. The younger Prince stood up in preparation to leave.

That President’s mis-step concerning ‘custom’ was about to blow up the whole deal…Quickly my womanly instincts took over. I reached up, patted the Prince’s arm, pulling him down to his seat and said. “How about the next time, we are in Saudi Arabia, you can pick up the check. Deal?” Then I smiled really big.

He chuckled. “You won’t come to Saudi Arabia.”

“Don’t be too sure about that.” I smiled.

The Prince paused in contemplation, (I could see the wheels turning in his head) as I continued. “We’ve had such a nice time. I have enjoyed talking with you so much. He didn’t mean to offend you. Now, why would he do that? He wanted to create a lovely evening for you and he did.”

With that, tension begin to leave the Prince.

“And we will be in Saudia Arabia to collect. Really, we will. You can count on it.”

The Prince chuckled, the tension was released, as he sat down and all was well…. (It was all about his ego.)

After dinner, we ended up at a Disco (remember those?) because the Princes wanted to party… My husband informed me on the drive over that the Princes wanted to meet some girls. “But I thought they were engaged to marry?” I inquired.

His reply.

“Yes, and one reason they are in America is to party. Their wives ‘to be’ must be virgins, but the men sleep with everything in sight. A non-Muslim woman is nothing to them. Saudi women cover themselves from head to toe, while in their own country, but when they go to France or England, they wear the finest designer clothing. Their women are meticulously groomed, in the Royal family, that is. I heard that they take their robes off as soon as they get on their jets and look like well-dressed socialites.”

I replied. “How disgusting and what hypocrites.”

At the Disco, we were dancing and having ‘fun’. I danced lots with the younger Prince who was a wiry little freak show unto himself. But, oh well! I was just getting through this business evening.

When I sat down at our table, I began to sneeze and the older Prince gave the waitress a hundred dollar bill to get me a box of Kleenex. The hundred dollar bills were flying around as fast as the waitresses could pick them up.(and this was when $100 was $100, remember those days?)

After getting our car and as we were leaving, my husband pulled back around to the front of the Disco then got out. He walked over to the Prince’s Limo, as I noticed several waitresses walk out of the club. My husband spoke to the waitresses then they got into Princes’ Limo.

When my husband got back into the car, he said, “Don’t even ask.”

But of course, I did…

So, these ego-driven, arrogant, braggadocios Saudi Princes were going through America buying women such as these waitresses… then going back to marry their virgins.

I hadn’t thought about this experience in years… but the other night while out with some friends, we were talking about how Muslims treat women and I recalled it…

Later the President of the company doing the joint venture told my Dad that I had saved the day…by my calming down of the Prince.

Info:

“Women in our (Islamic) culture are nothing. They are equal to the goat or the rug. Her purpose is to be married to her husband to give him pleasure. When a husband marries a wife, he purchases her sexual organs,”

I could not remain a Muslim because Islam hates women. I think I always knew this, but as I got older that knowledge became more acute, Islam wants women to cover themselves, to stay indoors, to obey men, however stupid those men are. Islam says that women are inferior in every way. Islam distorted my father’s feelings. He did not want us, his own daughters, to be happy or fulfilled. He only wanted us to be good Muslims and for daughters this means to be suffering Muslims. What sort of religion forces fathers to make their daughters suffer? What sort of father thinks that his daughter’s hair is shameful? What sort of father tells her she cannot sing and dance when she is happy? A Muslim father.

This is why I am not a Muslim. My children, boys and girls, will be able to feel the wind in their hair. They will not be ashamed. They can sing and dance as much as they like. Nothing they do will shame me, as long as it is done with life and joy. Islam has no joy. Islam is a cult of tears and death.

A woman’s rape is frequently the last act that precedes her execution.
This is explained by the rule in Iranian political prisons that the
sentence of execution cannot be carried out if the woman is a virgin.
Since there is a theological belief that if a woman dies a virgin she will go to heaven, the politically active virgin is forced to “marry” before her execution and thus to insure she will go to hell.

…. And we are allowing ‘this’ into America and being told that we can’t talk badly about Muslims…because they are so peaceful.. blah blah, blah!

These Saudi Princes were beyond arrogant and it was apparent that they could easily snap to do real harm to someone… hot-tempered – ego-controlled and impressed with themselves and their wealth and they want everyone to know it and to bow down.

It is interesting that, ’I', a ‘mere woman’, was able to soothe the situation…

Which goes to show, even as these men want total control over a woman that her attention and allure can ‘guide’ or ‘manipulate’ them. Is this their real fear?

Their culture has this angel/whore thing going on, as many men do, not just Muslim… but in the Muslim practice this ignorance plays out in the most extreme ways…

There are so many complex insights in and to this experience…

What are your thoughts…?

And stay tuned… there’s a second part to this story…
