Simply Truth

View from our back porch!!
Most of life is spent worrying about what other people think… Why, do they pay your bills, or help around your house??
When we were younger, most were afraid of what their peers would think… How stupid, since most did not have any better idea about what to do than you did… So what ever you did was just as good as what they did…HUH!! So all the fret was for nothing…
Besides everyone has an idea or opinion, but they are most times very different, so who is to say what is more correct?? It all comes back to your core values.. Of what is right and wrong, if you never really developed any real core values, then you will sure live a miserable life… Because it is the core values that act a guard rails to keep you out of the ditches of life… DUH!!
Plan today to seek and develop some core values, if you are short on them… Pick a well rounded person, who has learned to live a balanced life… Choose these type people as mentors… They will be the ones who are helping others, not the ones using people… This is the sign of someone with quality core values…
Life is to be lived, it is an adventure, so start to follow your pathway……

Nice form! Give special attention to the grace and balance of this woman…. She really gets into the sport; using the bare necessities…..

This is a gold medal winner in winter if we ever saw one… Lets all get our stuff together and plan a great winter schedule of events like this one… HUH!!

The new me, it is about time I stopped and surveyed my life… Maybe you should too… It seems that things go on wither we know or like it or not… DUH!!

So our task is to get our life together… Some times it appears that we will never get ahead… Well friend this is what life is all about… It is a continuing adventure, what we do with it is up to us…

It is all really how we react to the changes that come into our life that really makes who we are…. You are the sum of all the days of your life… And your attitude will forever determine who you turn out to be !! Be positive and uplifting…

If you are a pessimist then you will live a very sorry life and one full of grief… So plan today which path you will travel friend… It is entirely up to you, you can be as happy as you let yourself be…

Choose a positive attitude and learn to live… It is your help and concern for others that will really comfort you in the long run… The temporary pleasures of life; sex, wine, dope, and thrill seeking or otherwise will leave you down and destitute, so look up and become a friend and / or helper to others…

In Northwest England; there stands a stonewall near Nelson, Lancashire, UK …

What is the purpose a wall any way? Who was the person who took this picture?? Why is that important?

Well this photo was posted by a former high school classmate on an alumni web site… A fine young woman; I knew some years ago… It is a excellent photo of the area near, Nelson! Thank you dear lady!!

It shows a very steady stonewall, in a open field… What exactly are walls for? They mainly form a border or boundary… Most of the time the border, is to allow control… They can keep people, either in or out…. Maybe both!! Many times in life people erect not actual walls, spiritual walls to keep themselves in some state of isolation for protection; by keeping others out …. This is a state of isolation…. This can be very sad!!

In this life time; we will all meet different people on our pathway… I was fortunate enough to have the pleasure of meeting this fine lady, many years ago and then getting to know her better more recently! Our paths have crossed and converged on our journey through out life…

She is a very dedicated and intelligent woman… She is a hard worker, who has learned to overcome the many obstacles placed in her pathway… She is a determined person who does not let difficulty upset her!! Example: She virtually sat down one day after getting her first PC, some twenty some odd years ago and mastered it… Now she is a computer wizard….
She is also a great writer, and has a wealth of knowledge and information to express…. She is a very talented person…. She has restored an old house cia 1894; which she lives in and does many of the tasks herself…. So she is no slack person…. She is a strong woman, a wonderful person to get to know, plus a very good friend…. That is the Lady; who took the photo of the stonewall….

We should all seek; is to enjoy and to build friendships with those we meet on our life’s journey…

It is these merging and crossing of paths that make our life what it is… Life is an experience to be shared with lessons to be learned through the intercourse with others… {BTW: Intercourse has more meanings than just sexual, as in this case…} It is the sharing of ideas and values and events that makes and defines our lives…

This requires us, to not build fences or walls in our lives….
But to expand our horizons to see people for who they really are!! HUH!!

Pleasure and joy of knowing this woman, from so long ago; the fine woman who made this picture… She was placed on my pathway of life… She has been a wonderful part of my life; though only for brief moments… Remember the pleasures in this life are to be enjoyed for how ever long they last… So stop and smell the roses, seek to have an open and positive attitude, then you will come to know the real joys of this life!!

What is this and who took this picture?? Well this was posted on a former classmate on a SPHS alumnie site the year before last… It is a very good photo of the area near, Nelson!
Of course this was done out of care and concern by a very nice and by a very nice intelegent Lady… Thank you dear Lady; you know who you are!!

Well folks, this is the patch for Destroyer Squadron Four; US Navy.. Most all military commands have some sort of patch or insignia to represent them… There are literary thousands of different types in use, over the years…

I served on board a destroyer that was attached to : DES RON 4, and we were the greyhounds of the fleet… That means travel fast, and far.. Usually on short notice!!

Of course there are those who think this is just a lot of crap… But unfortunately there are those ; who do not believe in what you and I may consider sane and rational ways of doing things…. As the 11th of Sept 2001, proved… DUH!! So we must have the where with all to defend ourself… This requires that we have armed forces… So this is just one of this type organization…

BTW: every living thing on this earth has some form of self defense… Plant and animal… So just get over this idea that we should just stand by and wait for our demise or destruction… Maybe you disagree, I respect your opinion, but it will be those who stand up to the these people who are out for your destruction, that will save you, so that you can even have such an idea in the first place …

There are also patches that represent places, like some we had: for transiting the Suez Canal, ” We did the Ditch”; another for the Persian Gulf, “Persian Excursion”, Gulf of Tonkin, “Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club” and so forth… So there are many different patches, for all the armed services, and many other fine organizations… It is not too very different from, the patches used by sports teams… Police, Fire, Rescue and other departments in service to others…..

Having personally, put boots on the ground in Kenya, the news displeases me … You can see the picture of the conditions there.. Sad to say, but such things happen…
Dry as the dust in central Kenya…. Such as it is this 2006, the interior has had some drought that even the level of Lake Victoria is dropping… But the government can not effect the weather as much as they wish… So our prayers go out to these people…

Some times the trail of life leads us where we did not expect… But that is just the way things go folks…. I have learned that life is as much about adjustment, as it is about getting there… This is on a trail I have hiked here in Georgia… Most of the fun in life is seeing what is around the next corner, or over the next hill…. This will be an adventure into what are you talking about anyway?? We will look, inspect, seek, find, and other wise determine the answers to many if not all of lives questions and mysteries… Come on along, and see what we can discover together….
